Mission Statement:

Arohanui Art & Education Trust is committed to the holistic support of people with special needs. To encourage the growth, well being and pursuit of a rich and rewarding lifestyle through self expression and purposeful endeavor, enabling the individual to confidently take their place as a valued member of the community.


Arohanui is a service for adults with a disability based in the Te Puke & Tauranga communities.

Goals:

To provide learning opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, encouraging the development of their own potential through the experience of learning various practical and social skills in an artistic way.

To support each individual to develop self-expression and self-motivation and acquire knowledge and skills, allowing them to be as self directed and independent as possible and to develop a sense of social responsibility and purpose in life.

To offer a range of experiences in order to develop interests and skills.

To protect and empower the rights of people with a disability.

Arohanui Art & Education Trust was formed to provide a service in the Te Puke and Tauranga communities for people with a disability to have a viable option and choice that is tailored to the individuals needs.
